A tiling desktop, in a browser tab.
Webarchy is a keyboard-driven tiling desktop inspired by Omarchy and Hyprland - running in a single browser tab. Tiles split the screen instead of overlapping. Add a widget and the tile divides; close one and the rest grow to fill.
Tiling window management, in a tab
No side menu, no overlapping windows. Open the menu with Super + Space, pick an app, and it opens as a tile. Everything is keyboard-first; the content is yours to choose.
BSP tiling
A binary-split layout - tiles divide the screen and never overlap. Resize with ratios, zoom a tile to full screen, and rearrange without reloading widgets.
Keyboard-first
Drive the whole desktop from the keyboard. The command menu opens with Super + Space; typing narrows the list instantly.
Nine desktops
Nine virtual desktops. Move tiles between them, change proportions and focus by direction - just like a tiling window manager.
Themes & wallpapers
Tokyo Night, Ristretto, Catppuccin or your system theme - with wallpapers drawn in pure CSS. Theme and wallpaper are independent.
Remembers everything
Layout, theme, wallpaper, installed apps and widget data survive a refresh. Nothing to install - it lives in your browser.
Multilingual
Available in English, Polish and French. Every label is translated - no hardcoded text.
Bring your own apps
Webarchy ships with built-in widgets and a small catalog - and takes anything you throw at it. An app is a single contract: mount(el, ctx) returning destroy().
Built-in widgets
Intum Tasks, Noe Apps, Weather, a to-do list and a web browser - ready to tile.
App catalog
Public apps like Calculator, Life, Pomodoro and a color Palette - open them in a tile.
Paste or link code
Drop in JavaScript, or load a module from any URL. If it honours the one-file contract, it runs as a tile.
Yours to run, and to change
Webarchy is open source. Clone it, run it on your own domain, and change anything - add your own apps, themes and widgets. The tiling engine is pure TypeScript with hundreds of unit tests; Svelte is only the render layer.
